IET: LEGO Mindstorms- Robot Wars!

The Biggest Young Professionals' Event of 2010!

The IET Young Professionals London have teamed up with LEGO Mindstorms to bring you an exciting robot challenge!

Calling all robot enthusiasts: test your mechanical, electrical and electronic, control and systems skills! Six teams will have a change to battle it out at IET Young Professional flagship event of 2010, using the LEGO Mindstorms robotic kit to complete challenges and to beat each other!

LEGO Mindstorms NXT is not child's play! It's a powerful processing system interfacing with distance, colour and light sensors and servo motors. Programming is quick and fun in Labview (NXT-G)! The tasks will include navigating around a maze and performing some interesting challenges! The teams shall be judged by both speed and technological finesse, so the more elegant yet practical your solution, the more points your score.

Come and watch: A special Robotics talk for the audience!

This competition will not only be great to enter, but also to watch! Come and cheer for your favourite team while they compete. But to make it even more interesting to come and watch, we have invited a professor from the University of Reading to give a call on the developments of Robotics especially for you!
